What post remediation verification is
PRV is independent clearance testing after a remediation contractor has completed their scope. It confirms the containment was effective, that materials are dry, that visible growth is gone and that airborne spore counts in the work area match unaffected indoor and outdoor baselines.
Why independence matters
The IICRC S520 standard for professional mold remediation specifically recommends that the party grading the work not be the party who performed it. Independent PRV protects the homeowner, the property manager and, ultimately, the remediation contractor too.
What our PRV includes
Visual assessment of the remediated area; moisture verification of previously wet materials; air sampling inside the work area, in adjacent unaffected areas and outdoors; lab analysis and a written pass/fail clearance report.
If the site fails clearance
We document exactly what failed and why. The remediation contractor is then responsible for corrective work before re-testing. This isn't adversarial — it's how the process is supposed to work.
Turnaround
On-site inspection typically takes 45–90 minutes; standard lab turnaround is 3–5 business days with rush options available.
